Welcome to The Aiken Town Crier
Friday, September 10 2010 @ 03:55 AM EDT HR 45: National Gun Registration and Licensing This topic doesn't have anything directly to do with Aiken, but it would affect the lives of many of us who do live in Aiken and the surrounding areas. Please take the time to read what I've written below and the full text of the bill linked:Well, it didn’t take long for the 111th US Congress to get the ball rolling on gun control: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.45: Bullseye Big Chicken Creates Big Stink The Reverend Brendolyn Jenkins, President of the Aiken NAACP, made strong remarks in a statement yesterday regarding the owner of Bullseye Big Chicken. Bruce Pierson, the owner of the restaurant, added a welcome message to the sign outside of his restaurant to welcome Bill Clinton and Barack Obama during their visits to Aiken. The welcome message said, "Welcome Bill Clinton and Obama," with "Obama" placed on the next line of the sign next to "2PC MIXED 1.99." |
