Each October, the 4-H organization dedicates a week to celebrate the completion of another year in existence and the beginning of a new year. This year's 4-H Week will be held the week of the 7th. Aiken's own 4-H club began in 1910, when Marie S. Cromer organized a tomato-canning club for girls.

The Aiken County Historical Museum has been showcasing some new exhibits recently, with plans to add a permanent exhibit. The museum currently has an exhibit showcasing the works of local artists. "You Be the Judge" is a compilation of works by the Aiken Artist's Guild and is on display through August 24th.
