Friday, September 10 2010 @ 03:42 AM EDT Deputy Stephen Shunn's Heroic Act Stephen Shunn, a deputy with the Aiken County Sheriff's Office, rescued an elderly woman from a house fire while he was off-duty. The fire occurred at her Wilson Drive home just before 10:00 AM. The woman, 79 year old Mildred Martin, was located in her living room and had no idea the back of her house was on fire when Deputy Shunn kicked through her door and rescued her.
